A few months ago we added our prospective cover art section to the website. On this page we post what we think the cover for an upcoming DVD release will look like. Up until now no DVDs that we made the cover for had been given an official cover. But, today the cover art for Nurse Jackie Season 2 was released and almost everything we did, they did. The only difference in covers is the "Holy Shift" phrase being moved below the Nurse Jackie Title.

Sarah Silverman "The Bedwetter" Review

Alright, not really, but I came extremely close. When I went into my bookstore to buy this (Because I am a fan of her Comedy Central Show) I looked under humor. I thought that this was a filled with funny (and fictional) stories of courage, redemption, and pee. I was wrong, it was under the biography section. At first I thought that this was going to be a humorous outlook on her mundane childhood. Needless to say, I was wrong, again. 

In the "The Bedwetter" Silverman writes (in a hilarious way) about her very tough childhood. Yes she keeps her usuals jokes about body hair, cursing, and poop. But beneath this funny story and hilarious comedian is a true, touching, and heartfelt story that shows us that to redeem herself and get where she is, it took courage (and the ability to stop peeing). 

*Here Be Spoilers!* 
Sarah started being funny at a young age, receiving adult laughter via cursing (as taught by her father). She tells us that the first time she bombed was at the young age of about 6. She received no laughter when she told an inappropriate joke about her brother who died at the young age of two. She also reveals that she wet the bed until about 15 or 16. Her severe bed wetting problem, combined with her parents divorce, brother's death, etc. put her in a sever depression in most of her teenage years. It came to a point where she was on 16 Xanax a day. But, just like the title says, she redeemed herself. And became quite successful. 

All-in-all, "The Bedwetter" is a true, touching, and hilarious story that will literally make you laugh and cry. It's definitely worth the read.
